Temp Processing Officer (Domestic Help Sector)

Job Responsibilities:

  • To assess  eligibility  of  applications and appeals  for SHN Waiver and/or Financial Assistance, follow up with applicants on supporting documentation where necessary
  • Follow up to inform applicant and other relevant stakeholders on results of assessments
  • Compile data on processed applications & appeals;
  • Assist on assessment and evaluation of Work Permit applications and appeals if applicable, e.g. related to the SHN cases, in accordance to the Work Permit policy and processing criteria; and convey the outcome to customers expeditiously
  • To handle enquiries and provide prompt, accurate, and clear advisory to all stakeholders (e.g. employers, medical service providers, other government agencies) interacting with Work Pass Division relating to SHN waiver application and appeal procedures
  • Review requests from emails, escalations from contact centres, iSubmit, FormSG etc and escalate to relevant sections and officers to manage ;
  • Process requests and update them in the necessary systems;
  • Resolve customers’ enquiries and feedback on work pass matters related to domestic help sector through calls and/or emails

Job Requirements:

  • Minimum qualification: GCE 'O' Level
  • Possess good customer service and communication (written and spoken) skills 
  • Possess good analytical, creative thinking, and problem-solving skills
  • Be a good team player with a customer-focused mindset
  • Be able to handle difficult customers, work independently, adapt to fast and complex changes; and handle multiple tasks/portfolios
