Project Manager

Roles & responsibilities:

  • To manage IT teams manpower and budget allocations, and track manpower budgets utilizations.
  • Coordinate, prepare and seek senior management’s approval for Annual Engagement Plan (AEP) for submission
  • Work with Finance Department To manage manpower cost recovery
  • Monitor the overall IT budget utilisation of the department and ensure good budget utilisation throughout the FY
  • Work with fund owners to collate and submit budget returns during budget exercise
  • Be able to advice fund owners on finance and budget utilisation frameworks
  • Assist in providing chart field tags to the invoices when routed for certification
  • Liaise with Finance on budget matters and assist in providing returns whenever
  • necessary
  • Provide regular budget/expenditure updates to IT Management Teams.
  • Support the operation of this master contract and purchase orders
  • Maintain the manpower resource requests / capability training process and ensure compliance to the process
  • Provide operation support for manpower resource requests, interview sessions and
  • performance appraiser etc.
  • Conduct preliminary check of the documentation (e.g. CVs, invoices and support
  • documents) submitted by Contractors
  • Review monthly progress reports and supporting documents submitted by Contractors
  • Track utilisation of master contract and purchase orders and alert contract owner /relevant officer when utilisation reaching 80% of the contract / purchase order amount

Job requirement:

  • Tertiary Education (Degree or Diploma) in relevant field is preferred
  • Certification in project management is preferred
  • Field experience as a Project Manager in at least 2 full ICT project development life cycles
  • Working experience in government sector will be an added advantage
  • Good written, verbal communication, presentation and negotiation skills
  • Good with numbers and capable in tracking budget utilisation for multi-million projects
