L2 Support Engineer (Perm/Linux/NetApp/VMware)

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Maintain on-premises systems on customer sites.
  • Diagnosing and troubleshooting software and hardware problems.
  • Working knowledge of cyber processes, implementation and system operations.
  • Install, configure and deploy company’s software.
  • Familiarity with support methodologies, practices and tools.
  • High degree of coordination with the customer and the company’s engineering, services, laboratory, R&D operations and business teams.
  • Customer centric, problem solver, and ability to participate in a multi-task environment.
  • Set and meet the performances by KPIs.


  • Tertiary education in Computer/Computer Science/Computer Engineering or Electronics Engineering or Information Technology or equivalent.
  • Must have at least 3 years of experience in R&D/technical support/professional services or similar.
  • Ability to understand and analyse complicated, multidisciplinary and distributed systems.
  • Experience in the following is a must:
    • Operating systems: Linux and Windows
    • NetApp, VMware
  • Knowledge/experience/understanding in the following will be an added advantage:
    • Networking
    • Kibana, Prometheus and Grafana
    • Micro services environment like Docker and Kubernetes
    • SQL databases
    • BigData, Kafka, Elasticsearch, Flink
    • CD/CI processes
    • Scripting - Ansible, Bash, Python
  • Team player, ability to work well with others on a team and willing to work with demonstrated resilience in a dynamic environment.
