Our client is a leading e-sports and events organizer headquartered in Asia with regional offices in Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand and Vietnam. They’re looking to expand aggressively into other ASEAN countries. To help accommodate their growth, they’re looking for an Accountant based in Thailand, Bangkok.

 

Job Objectives:

  • Manages company’s financial information
  • Creates and processes invoices
  • Cross-checks invoices with payments and expenses to ensure accuracy
  • Manages company’s accounts payables and receivables
  • Sends bills and invoices to clients
  •  

    Responsibilities

  • Responsible for Payables/Receivables
  • Records financial information in accordance with the system of accounting, income – expenditure to the organization
  • repares daily, monthly revenue and expense summary reports, documents accounting records correctly and in accordance with accounting standards
  • Prepares weekly aging reports with analysis
  • Process all invoices for payment within the prescribed policies and procedures in order to ensure that payments are valid business expenses, properly supported and are authorized
  • Checks bills, receipts and tax invoices before sending them to customers or creditors
  • Prepares/files tax reports
  • Prepare entry in the accounting system. Manages financial, receivables and cash flows, as well as record payments in the system; handles bookkeeping
  • Performs finance analysis, reporting and management tasks
  • Oversees the validation of transactions and verification of their overall impact on the general accounts
  • Maintains accurate and current records of collection activities
  • Maintains and updates supplier master data file, files hard copy of processed requests
  • Communicates with clients regarding billing and payments
  • Prepares payments, bank transfers and does bank transactions
  • Ensures account receivables and payables activities are performed accurately and timely
  • Settle amounts due or recover outstanding receivables
  • Identifies and resolves invoicing issues, accounting discrepancies and other financial related issues
  • Prepares and coordinates financial audit
  • Performs other duties that management may assign from time to time
  • Prepares monthly closing and financial reports
  •  

    Bank Reconciliation:

  • Performs and prepares monthly bank reconciliation statements for all bank accounts in the name of the company
  • Prepares journal entries for unrecorded and reconciling items
  • Recommends improvements and/or changes in the accounting policies if necessary
  •  

    Pre-Requisites:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting / Finance, Business Management or any Accounting related courses
  • At least two (2) years’ experience in Finance, Accounting, and basic Thailand tax knowledge
  • Must be able to communicate in both English and Thai
  • With a passion for the e-sports industry is a plus
  • Ability and initiative to work independently with minimal guidance
  • Communicates well, oral and in writing, with all levels in the organization
  • Good written and oral communication skills
  • Able to manage multiple responsibilities at once
  • Able to apply principles of logical or scientific thinking to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw conclusions
  • Able to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions and can deal with several abstract and concrete variables
  • Able to compute discount, cost of money, profit, and loss; ratio and proportion percentage. As well as perform simple algebra and the ability to spot computational errors in all stages of planning and financials
  • Able to handle pressure during management presentations and reporting periods
  • Able to perform well even under pressure or opposition

    Organizational Relationship

  • Reports to the Country Manager based in Thailand and works closely with stakeholders, vendors, contractors, suppliers, and partners
